Understanding COVID-19

“Understanding COVID-19” is a free, two-day virtual course for high school students to learn about the current COVID-19 pandemic from the experts.

Course Date: April 20 & 21, 10 am – 3 pm EST

What will I be doing in the course?

During the course, you’ll participate in lectures led by professors and scientists from Harvard, MIT, and Yale; learn about COVID from doctors and patients; and dive into public policy exercises with the experts who developed Massachusetts’s COVID-19 response. Interested in becoming a scientist, grad student, doctor, or science journalist? Ask them questions at our career panel, where STEM professionals will explain what they do, how they got there, and answer questions with their best advice.

Interested? Register here. You can also watch this welcome video from the Harvard and MIT students organizing the course.

What are the requirements?

Any high school student is welcome to join by registering here. It’s helpful, but not required, to have taken a year of biology first.
