The following is a description of the Ragon Institute External Fellowship Program. Under this Program, Ragon Directorate may invite external faculty collaborators to apply for a Fellowship at their home institution.
Ragon Institute External Fellowship Program
This award, submitted at the invitation of the Ragon Institute Directorate, will provide salary support and some supply costs for a fellow (named or to be named) for an external faculty collaborator. The intent of the Ragon Institute External Fellowship Program is to leverage new skills and knowledge into the Ragon Institute to answer key questions directly applicable to HIV vaccine development. The fellow must devote 100% effort to this project. However, unrestricted sources of funding may be utilized to supplement salary costs, if applicable. The value and duration of the award is based on the needs of the proposed scope of work, and is determined by the Ragon Institute Directorate. Awards may be used for salary, fringe benefits, supplies, travel, and any other expenses requisite for project.
Conditions of Award
The funding will be awarded via a subcontract mechanism issued by MGH to the home institution. Institutional approval to accept this Fellowship will be required on the Fellowship Proposal Document. Indirect costs to the home institution are limited to a maximum of 15% of total direct costs, but should not exceed the home institution’s stated fellowship rate.(e.g. An institution with a fellowship rate of 10% may not request indirect funding in excess of this figure.)
