Ragon Supports 30th Annual AIDS Walk

Date: June 8, 2015 By:

Sunday, June 7 marked the 30th annual AIDS Walk Boston & 5K Run, one of the oldest walks of its kind in the country.  About 10,000 people from across New England attended the event which returned to its roots on the Boston Common.

Participants walk for different reasons, but walk together for one common cause: to support AIDS Action and its work to prevent new infections, maximize the health outcomes of those infected, and to end the epidemic here in Massachusetts.  Over the past three decades, the walk has raised more than $40 million, which the AIDS Action Committee uses to provide services for people diagnosed with HIV infection and AIDS.

The Ragon Institute has been a long-time supporter of the Walk, creating a solid team of walkers and/or runners every year who raise money from pledges which go to support AIDS Action.  This year, Ragon was the 6th hightest team raising $24,231!  Donations are still being accepted on the Team Ragon page.
