On the evening of July 18, 2013,  a benefit show was held in Boulder, Colorado to benefit the FRESH Study,  an HIV prevention and education program in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

The musical evening, held at Nissi’s, an award-winning restaurant and music venue, raised nearly $1,500 in support of FRESH!  With this gift, FRESH will be able to provide support for the young women enrolled in the program.

The band performed a “Give Me One Reason” by Tracy Chapman dedicated to the women of Umlazi Township, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.  (Watch the video below.)

The evening also featured the newly-formed Eben G. Fine Band, which includes Bill Aspinwall, David Ruff, Jeff Roberts, Kris Husted, Lisa Canida, Bruce Ross, Mary Deutsch, Frank Shipley and Sally Robinson. Also featured were Molly Wear, an artist from Austin, Texas, and special guest Carly Sciaky, an accomplished Colorado musician and a member of the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado.

FRESH Director, Dr. Krista Dong, thanked the performers saying, “we are so amazed and appreciative that you and your friends performed to raise funds for the young women at FRESH!”
