Boucau Recieves Postdoc Recognition Award

Date: February 20, 2014 By:

Dr. Julie Boucau, postdoctoral fellow at Ragon, has been selected as a winner of the Postdoc Recognition Award by the Mass General Postdoc Association (MGPA).

The MGPA is an association which serves the MGH postdoctoral community, providing support for research and career related matters, and provides a platform for interaction of postdoctoral research fellows across the hospital.

The Postdoc Recognition Award is designed to recognize outstanding postdoctoral fellows.  Boucau was nominated by her fellow researchers for her spirit of cooperation and general helpfulness at the Ragon Institute.  Said her nominees:

“Julie is the backbone of her lab. Everyone can count on her for help with their experiments and general lab duties. Her leadership in the lab allows everyone to get their work done safely and effectively as she keeps everything on track, while completing her work.”

“Julie is one of the most dedicated researchers in her lab. She is hard working and puts in long hours, not only for her projects, but also to help others in the lab. The lab recently moved and Julie was instrumental in making sure the move went smoothly. Julie is a great friend to everyone, organizes social events and making sure newcomers feel included.”

Boucau and other award winners were honored at the MGPA annual meeting on January 22, 2013.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got the notification about the award,” said Boucau.  “It was an honor to be nominated and I would like to thank the two Ragon co-workers who nominated me. I hope to continue to promote excellence and collegiality at MGH.”
